Here are 10 Really Cool Android Apps You MUST have
- Adobe Scan App
- Prisma App
- Next Lock Screen App
- Wifi Mapper App
- Duolingo App
- Manything App
- Twilight App
- Volume Notification App
- Photomath App
- Navbar Apps
1. Adobe Scan App
Starting off we have a quite useful app Adobe scan. This one is a bit different and potentially much easier to use than all the others. So this how it works, you hover the camera over what you want to scan and it will automatically detect the document scan it, crop it, and adjust the perspective. This way you don’t even have to press the shutter button, it does everything automatically.
If you have multiple Pages you can just hold down the camera up to each one as it snaps the photos to scan them. I found this to be a lot faster and easier than other scanning apps I’ve used. Now the one thing I will say is that while it’s faster, I think this is best suited for documents where the scan quality is not a top priority. Why? Because you can’t choose when it will take the photo or snap the picture.
It may snap the image at a weird angle or when you’re moving the phone a bit. So it won’t look as good if you were perfectly centering the phone above the document, holding it as steady as possible. But at least this way you can have something that you can use if you’re in a hurry.

2. Prisma App
This is a cool photo editing app that is actually pretty popular called Prisma. The idea is its kind of similar to Instagram and that it applies filters to your photos that you have or you took. However, these filters are a lot more sophisticated than just adjusting the look of the colors. So the idea is you can take a regular photo and turn it into a kind of art.
These filters are actually really sweet, plus you don’t have to use the full strength of the filter. You can adjust it however you want. So, maybe if you want to give your Instagram photos a little extra Flair this is a great way to do it. All filters look really cool and there is a ton of them all out there.
3. Next Lock Screen app
This app was created by Microsoft, ironically it’s the next generation lock screen and like the name suggests it’s a lock screen replacement for Android. I don’t necessarily have a problem with the default lock screen however, this one actually looks really nice.
It has a lot of customization options you normally wouldn’t get with a normal lock screen feature. For example, you can have the photo background become the Bing photo of the day. These changes are actually pretty good, and you can also choose to have quick launch shortcuts of your favorite apps at the bottom or swipe up to see them.
Of course, when you do that you’ll also see shortcuts like a flashlight, Wi-Fi, toggle, and battery saver mode. The only downside is I noticed it can add a bit of a delay when unlocking the phone because its words run on top of the default lock screen.
You can disable this, but I wouldn’t because then you’d lose the security from disabling the system fingerprint lock or whatever. Still, it’s worth checking out if you want something that looks a little bit nicer.

4. Wifi Mapper App
Moving on, we have an app for those of you who roam around a lot the Wifi Mapper is for you. The idea is simple you open up the app and it shows you locations to any open Wi-Fi hotspots that are close by. Even if they’re not within the Wi-Fi range.
So, this way if you need it WiFi you can just walk to the closest one. However, be careful open Wi-Fi hotspots are usually risky so you should always use a VPN if you’re going to connect one. Wifi Mapper uses data from all the other people who use the app. When you open the app and you will notes all hot spots around you and puts them on the map for anyone else nearby.
5. Duolingo App
Probably a lot of you have heard of Duolingo. The point of this one is to teach you a new language in your free time and they have a ton of languages to choose from. They use a bunch of different activities to teach you the words in the new language.
So one example might be matching up the word with an image or matching up the equivalent word in your language. You aren’t supposed to know all of them at first obviously, so it’s fine if you get some wrong. You’re supposed to some wrong though, it’s not going to just have you memorize vocabulary terms. But rather give you some context to the words are you learning. However, you can remember them better it’s a pretty cool idea and I think a lot of people seem to like it, it’s worth checking out.
6. Manything App
This one is actually really interesting and clever it’s called Manything. The idea is that it can turn your old Android phones into security cameras for your home. I’m sure many of us have old phones lying around that still work, but you just don’t have a use for them anymore until now.
This is especially great for people who have been thinking about getting a security camera like an astronaut thing. But you don’t want to spend the money on it, this obviously isn’t as ideal as a dedicated camera however, it’s better than nothing.
How The Manything App Works?
You just open up the app set the phone as a camera and then view it on another phone and there are settings for resolution, motion detection, alerts, and a bunch of other stuff. If it detects movement and can upload the video to the cloud to watch later. However, that is possibly a paid feature, this one is both free and paid plans depending on if you want cloud storage for the videos.
Otherwise, it’s free to use and assuming the phone would be connected to the Wi-Fi it’s not like it’s going to use up any cell bandwidth either. So if you don’t have a security camera already I would check this one out.
7. Twilight App
I think really everyone should have if you love brighter, rich phone screen. However, this twilight app doesn’t change the screen color brightness in night automatically, so it’s a lot less harsh on the eyes. When you reduce the blue light produced by screen the less it will disrupt the sleep.
That could be a big problem these days and while Android does have a similar feature built-in. The effect is not nearly strong enough as I think it should be. So this Twilight app allows you to choose how strong you make the screen color.
It can make your screen almost completely red or maybe not changed much at all depending on what you want. You can have it set to go from a specific time or just automatically from sunrise to sunset. The only downside is that the way these app works isn’t the best method for reducing blue light. But because the way Android works it’s, all you can do without rooting your phone. Instead of adjusting the color profile directly, you would with flux on a computer. Its just kind of overlays a red filter over the screen.
So that is how it works, overall it just makes everything look red instead of just removing blue light. It’snot ideal but it’s all we have to work with until Google allows better functionality in the future for these apps.
8. Volume Notification App
So number 8 on the list is Volume Notification and this is probably one of the apps that you didn’t realize you needed until you see it. What it does is adds a little menu bar when you swipe down for notifications, that lets you directly adjust the different volumes. This includes music, the ringer, alarms, and others as you might know.
Normally if you want to adjust the media volume you have to press one of the volume keys and hope that it adjust the media volume instead of the ringer. Then you would have to click the drop-down and then change it. It is really a pain, so with this Volume Notification app you just swipe down, click on whatever one you want to change and it brings up the volume bar.
Also, there is another app I will quickly mention that goes along with this one. It’s called Rocker Locker.
What this one does is, it changes the default sound setting for the volume buttons to control. So if you want the volume buttons to instead control the media volume by default, not the ring volume you can do that. These two I think I’ll group together they’re both worth looking at.
9. Photomath App
Coming off to the end, This one is actually really awesome, it’s called Photomath and it lets you solve math problems just by pointing your camera at it. It can solve anything from complex calculus to basic arithmetic, you just line up with the Box shown on the screen and it instantly solves basically anything.
Not only that, it will even show you the steps you would need to take to solve the problem yourself. So, I think and it’s ideal for those of you doing math classes or maybe there’s some weird homework problem you want to solve. You can just let your phone do it or if your handwriting is so bad it can’t figure out why you even wrote you can also just type in the problem manually.
10. Navbar Apps
This app is called Navbar apps and this one allows you to customize the way your navigation bar at the bottom of the screen looks. So usually your phone might have a couple of settings to choose between like white black or clear. But with this app, the sky’s the limit.
You can choose from a bunch of different images as the navigation bar or add your own image or just use a solid color. It even lets you add emojis for some reason, you can also have the navigation bar act as a battery meter. Isn’t that cool? So the more battery you have left the more it fills up with one color and it gets smaller as the battery drains.
Now they don’t seem to work in every app and for some reason, it seems to disappear when I’m at the home screen. But it does show up in most of the apps I use, but anyway, this is a pretty fun app to use.
So that is it for now, these are my 10 Really Cool Android Apps You’ll Want To Get! list breakdown. I hope you find the one that is most useful to you and your business. If you have any question let me know in the comment section below.
